Star Grass

Common Name: Colic Root
Origin: Native to Southern Africa

Star grass is a perennial plant having grass like leaves and star shaped, white or yellow flowers. Flowers can also be dyed to green or red. Flower stems are hairy and short and the flower stalk is about 17 cm. Stems are deep green in color and are topped with brown seed heads. This plant can be found throughout the tall grass prairie regions and also in open savannas and woodland areas.

Dried star grass is an authentic addition to embellish the entrance or the rooms of any house. It has a strong and an intriguing form.
