The petals of lily are called tiger lily petals. They are used in potpourri and pickles. They are good with pastas and mushrooms. They are used as flavoring in soups, as a poultice for bruises and cuts. More traditional uses include applications as an antirheumatic, cardiac sedative, burn remedy and analgesic. They are the most commonly used petals for decorative display. A tangy aromatic tea is made from the dried petals. Dried petals give a sweet taste to the petals.
