Cultivation of Lady's Mantle
They grow well in full sun with well drained soil. They grow best in clay soil. They can tolerate partial shade.

Drying of Lady's Mantle
These flowers are cut when they are at full maturity. After cutting them, hang them upside down in dry, dark, open, airy place.

Lady's mantle can also be dried using glycerine and by moist drying. In moist drying after cutting the flowers, remove all the foliage and allow the flowers to stand in a jar containing water. Once this as been done they are left to dry naturally. If the petals show signs of withering once the water is used up then add a little more water.

Treating the flowers with glycerine after air drying gives thef lowers a lovely silken sheen. Dilute one part glycerine in two parts hot water. Mix them together and allow the flowers to stand in a jar containing the mixture. Leave it for 4-5 days until they change color.

Uses of Lady's Mantle
They are used as beautiful dried flowers to give a yellow touch to the dried arrangements. The powdered dried roots are used to make herbal tea, which is effective for upset stomach. The dried root in used to heal external cuts and wounds. They are good for violent purging.
