Craft 1: Cute Can Puppy
Take an aluminium soda can and starting with anything, dip the can in
hot water and wash it well .Next squeeze it so that the bottom bends up.
Flatten it by stepping on it. Smoothen the sharp edges using a tape or
sticking some paper onto it. Color it brown. In case the can doesn't let
the paint stick, roughen the surface with a sandpaper, spray a primer
and then paint. It may take several coats, so be patient. Paint pink
inside the lid hole to make puppy's mouth. Let it dry nicely after each
paint. Make puppy's tongue with red paper /felt and glue it to the pink
mouth, hanging out. Make drop shaped ears and glue to the top of the
can. Finally glue the wiggle eyes.
Craft 2: Beaded Can jewelry
Take cans of the color that you want your jewelry to be. Can be one,
can be many. Slit the can with a sharp knife. Open and flatten. Cut out
the desired shape roughly measuring 1x1 inches. Make clay folds to frame
the can pieces cut out. Dot the clay for a beautiful pattern with a
pencil tip. Rub a coat of gold( can be any color) wax. Thread a needle
with fancy thread and start threading beads and aluminium pieces to make
beautiful necklaces, bracelets, etc. Be careful while sliding the needle
in the clay. Gently push it through the clay frame, taking it to the
other side of the frame, from behind the aluminium pieces. Let it dry.
Craft 3: Aluminium pen holders
Take a can of your desired shape or cut it with a knife to change it
into the desired shape. If you cut it, cover the sharp edges with layers
of clay/ paper or decorative laces, so that it doesn't wound anyone.
String beads into the elastic wire and fix a tape on the ends to hold
it. Ideally, it should be double the circumference of the can. Lace it
around the can and tie a tight knot so that it doesn't come off. Your
decorative, multipurpose aluminium pen holder is ready.
